Thema: Looking for participants for a documentary film |
Marianne1 Neu hier 19.01.2009 |
Hello.
This letter is posted by film production team - Nordic Broadcasting Network from Estonia.
We are looking for a family or two living in Vauban-Freiburg, who would be interested in participating in a documentary film called "Patterns of Life".
Who are we looking for:
- Our ideal candidate would be a family, who is able to express themselves in English (at least one person in the family) and who would be able to talk openly about their reasons for moving to Vauban-Freiburg, about environmental choices they have made and would be happy to show and promote their environmentally friendly lifestyle to the viewers in a 10-15 minute episode of the film.
Shortly about the film:
"Patterns of Life" tells, in essence, a story of human livelihood. The film is motivated by a certain feeling of being stuck with the odds and ends of our daily lives while the world we inhabit moves forward with a rapid pace. We feel, as do many, the acuteness of environmental change. But how did we get here and what can we do about it? Is the so-called environmental crisis really the crisis of environment – or is it rather thecrisis of human habits? We are caught in what looks a lot like an environmental jam. But how did we get here and what can we do about it?
The film unfolds as a travel in time and space following the human use of technologies and its environmental impacts. However, "Patterns of Life" is also and foremost an heartfelt story of people, of societies, culture, science, habits, crafts, skills, morals, religion and art – and how these might help us to make sense of our use of technology.
